Sep 19, 2016 · Monopoly on the market! There's no other way to dauphin island unless you're willing to drive the 119 miles to mobile bay and then to dauphin island. Honestly, duaphin island isn't awesome. The only real attraction is the estuary. You can find plenty to do around Gulf Shores or at the State Park vs that $30 ferry ride. Geeesh
We will be staying in Gulf Shores and are planning a day trip. Will be taking the ferry from Fort Morgan to Dauphin Island, from there to Bellingrath Gardens, then returning back to Gulf Shores by land around the bay.. We're thinking of having a picnic lunch on DI, or possibly lunch at a restaurant.Easy access to Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and Foley. It is slow and can be hot, but some people enjoy the ride.
