Lorex cloud not connecting.

The problem was the firmware was out of date on my NVR. I called Lorex and they sent me an updated firmware and walked me through the process of installing it (very simple). Then I was able to connect to the device in the cloud app using the ID number on the NVR. I upgraded our DSL and the Lorex Home app works fine. I don't know why the app would need a minimum data speed just to set-up on the same LAN, but high internet speed resolved my problem. Alternatively, the Lorex Cloud app works fine on a slow connection, but obviously doesn't have the same features as the Home app.
