Chrysler pacifica dvd player not working.

Just discovered that my newly purchased 2017 Pacifica came with the UConnect 8.4, but no CD player. WTH. Really? Seems CD players are now old school. My wife was excited to be able to play her CD collection on the UConnect and enjoy the 13 Alpine speakers. She is disappointed. I have searched the forum for some troubleshooting such as trying different USB cables and checking the fuses. This is the media hub that has the AUX input to the immediate right of the USB in question.
