You may run into other issues with running bio. From reading, VW does not approve of 100% bio use. It apparently dilutes the oil and causes issues with the internals. I believe even bio produces PM, which is the main reason for the DPF. It is just the nature of a heavy distillate fuel to produce PM.2. The DPF needs cleaning because there is stuff that doesn't get burned like metals from engine wear that are in the engine oil and the additives in the oil. VW's 507.00 oil is very low ash which helps extend the life of the DPF, I don't know how the additive packs are different from other low ash oils though.
