Wetrudgeon. 123 posts · Joined 2015. #4 · Dec 30, 2016. When deciding on our G30S, we also handled (but did not shoot) the G30SF and the older G30 (no Gen 4's). The "non S" G30's seemed significantly larger and wider than the G30S. The G30S hides and carries very well. We trudge on.

I bought a 36 after trying a 30. I wanted a compact .45,shot them both & the 36 felt better & I shot it better. Not long after a friend of mine @ work bought a 30sf. The 30sf definately felt better in my hand than did the 30, & had the shop had a 30sf when I bought the 36 I probably would have gone with the SF in favor of the larger ammo capacity.Nov 9, 2010 · Switched it up to G26 currently after trying the G30sf, G30S, Sig P245, CS45, and Springfield XDS45.
