Kawasaki prairie 360 carburetor adjustment.
Belt width is to be 1.17-1.22 inches. All I have is a 25 foot tape and it shows about 1 1/8" width. So well below specs. Which also means deflection is also way out of spec by maybe 1/2" or so. Looking at the service manual it does not look like a simple belt change and adjustment. Several special tools and so forth.

Took my prairie 360 to a shop with carb issue and they asked if a cheap carb would be ok as a replacement and I said yes. It ran ok for a month but then it wouldn't I tried cleaning it and adjusting but nothing. If the diaphragm is cracked they will not have any power. The starter plunger is a valve that opens a port that allows fuel in when cold for cold starting.The idle screw is on the right side. It is a good size piece that can be easily adjusted by hand. The air/fuel screw is on the front part of the bottom of the carb near the intake boot. If you loosen the clamp, you can turn the carb sideways enough to adjust it while still mounted. It takes a fairly smaller screwdriver to fit.The most common problem is that the shift rod is out of adjustment. It's probably moving too far towards the low gear and when it high it's not locked in all of the way. I am posting the adjustment diagram below. If adjusting it doesn't help you out then you know that chances are there are worn parts in the engine.
