First, I apologize for a long post, go to the last paragraph for what fixed my start/stop issue. 3 weeks ago, I started having start/stop issues with my 2017.5 Compass Trailhawk. I was getting the “A” alert on my dash and the start stop not operational message. The diagnostic for the P00FD fault is basically designed to detect a discharging, discharged or disconnected Auxiliary Battery any time there is a disconnect between the two Batteries. It detects this if the Fused B+ voltage to the PCM drops low enough to cause a PCM reset when disconnected from the Main/Cranking Battery. There are a few different reasons why the Chrysler Pacifica service stop/start system warning light may come on.
