The other issue with Honda self propelled mowers is the axle bushings.. and I may sound like broken record on those, but those will loose their lubricity and begin to bind up on you at some point. The problem is you cant tell unless you hear squeaking or the transaxle cooks from the stress of not being able to turn the drive axle easily.

Jul 10, 2023 · On my 2nd HRX in 3 weeks and it also has the hard to pull start problem so many others have posted about. Honda has no parts to fix this either which is unacceptable for a 1100 mower. Would not recommend anyone to buy until honda gets the pull start problem figured out and fixed!
