It will prevent the build up of gunk in the carbs. The way you did it the old gas sat in the carb bowls depositing the crap, then you put the seafoam in to clean it up. Troubleshooting a throttle/fuel issue on a FH661V Kawasaki engine. Cranking the engine with choke works and I can idle the engine on low.
