At first the dump bed lift pump did not work at all, but I had the motor rebuilt so the pump works now. The problem seems to be electrical. I can get the lift to go up, but not down. Check the cooling: If you can disconnect the fan, check it directly with with volt meter: a. With ohm/continuity setting-look for open circuit (the motor windings will show a resistive value). Also, apply 12v across the wires to get the fan to spin. You may also see if there are fuses to the fan.

I would suggest putting in the oil return into the rear cylinder like a lot of people have. But you might be able to get away with just plugging the hole in the airbox that the crank vent goes to.. The tires must match and gear ratio must be the same. If off just a little bit it will cause a prob like you discribe.. Bob ps this is only a prob. with 4-wheel.
