Always carry some stacks of both with you and keep the Aloe Extracts in one of your hotbar slots. To heal your thralls you need to place the item in their inventory and use it.
Using your main weapon to hit that boss is going to result in a faster kill, thus less overall damage on your thrall. Stacks of food in the thrall inventory is a bit slower healing but is much more flexible, healing all the time wether you're in combat or running. Resurgence is kinda meh, fast healer is much better especially in combo with Glutton. For the last perk, Glutton for Punishment is probably the best perk in the game for a defensive fighter. I haven't played around with Last Stand tbf but I doubt I'd perfer it over glutton, I rarely get below half health anyways while using Glutton.
The spells won't get better, the more corrupted you are, its just that you need it for the stronger ones. #2 Corruption normally stops at 50% of your health and stamina. Depends on what you wanna do PvP I like the Venom infused pike it’s so OP and just a cucky weapon it’s just fun, but it’s not the greatest by all means but a fun PvE combo is a Javelin and Shield I use dragon bone ones personally bc of how cheap and good they are but use what you can get. PS.
