However, I bought the white Directv spare remote from Bestbuy and it works like a charm. It controls my tv power, streaming box, and my sound bar. When I turn on power to DirctTV slim black box it now takes a few minutes to display on the TV and then only stays on for maybe 30 seconds and we get the "Source not found" screen on the TV as if the box is not connected.
