I always LOVED the look of an F150 leveled on nice tires and stock rims. My truck came with the 18" rims instead of the 20" rims that come on SOME XLT's and most lariats. I plan on leveling it either 2.5" or 2" on the front end. Practically, no need to change shocks unless you want to or feel the need to. Some people say the OEM shocks are junk; I find no issues with 33" tires on OEM FX4 Sport shocks at 8 years old and 45k miles.

Yup. JKUs (vs JKs) are sort of in a fuzzy area though. 2.5" will surely avoid issues; you might be able to get away with a 3" on a 4 door?? 4" will look silly with 33s. I am at about 4" of lift and 35s look small. (IMO) Look at is this way- your $1500 lift might be a $2000 lift ($500 for just a front DS) later.
