Remove the slide from the frame, use your fingers to pull the spring up out of the reverse plug...it only has to be pulled up about 1/8" and the end butted against the barrel link will pop up.Pull the barrel and barrel bushing out of the slide. Remove the barrel link pin and the slide stop. Separate the slide and the frame by pulling them apart. To re-assemble, simply reverse the steps. This product should be cleaned after every use and when exposed to dirt, sand, etc. When not in use, clean at least twice per year. 1. Use the take-down tool and disassembly and clean the spring/guide rod as one assembly. There is no reason to take it apart if you don't need to. My gun has 2000 rounds through it and I've not felt any need to change the spring yet.
