The only real difference is the preamp. I played the one I bought at GC and swapped back and forth with the U.S. Stingray 5 for about 45 minutes. The VP jr 250k is a standard passive pedal where the MVP offers a boost of 20db which is geared more for guitars and costs a hundred more. I'm a big fan of my fretted SR600 in ash, and was thinking of adding the fretless to my arsenal.
