I do have it set up to text me if my door has been open for more than 3 minutes. And that works great given I can close it via my phone from anywhere.So an automation to open the garage looks like: open garage > wait 5 seconds > open garage. If the first command throws an error, it is programmed to try again and it always works on the 2nd try.
