No. Farming exotics from legend/master lost sectors only works with solo runs. Legendary/master lost sector? They never dropped exotics when you're in a fireteam unless its rng world drop. The chest at the end only drops exotics if you do it solo. It must be done solo from start to end.The Lost Sector was designated to drop Helmets. We just got lucky like you. You can run them in a fireteam but exotics only drop on solo clears. You can get exotics, but they will not be that days slot specific nor does it have bad luck protection. To get slot specific and get guaranteed new items you have to run solo.The drop rate, despite being common on master difficulty is not that common. Been farming the legend sector for today to get it, and while I have gotten drops they are for exotic leg armor I already own.

On average, most lost sectors take a minute longer to complete on master difficulty. The extra 10% bump in drop rate you get in masters is worth that extra minute. With it being a simple lost sector to farm, I decided to farm it and record the results, to see what the drop rate is for Legend Lost Sectors, given that Bungie recently buffed the drop rate.
