I have two CZ 452s (.17 HMR & .22 Mag), a CZ 455 (.22), a Tikka T1x (.17 HMR) and a Sako Quad Hunter (.22 & .17M2). All are threaded and shot suppressed except for the CZ varmint in .17 HMR. Of these rifles, the Quad with the .22 barrel is my favorite, by far. Is a half inch rifle (@50) with Eley SVHP and is a squirrels nightmare.Re: Bergara b14 rimfire or cz457 precision. Spain, where Bergara is located, is a member of CIP. For perspective and comparison, CZ has an "official" guarantee. Selected models in the .22 LR calibre, such as the CZ 457 MTR, have a Match cartridge chamber at the very edge of the CIP tolerance.

As an option you can buy any CZ 457 and build it the way you like for (usually) equal $. Probably one decision you really can’t go wrong on! The specs show the T1x with 20" barrel weight @ 5.3 lbs. The Bergara BMR with 20" carbon fiber barrel @ 5.4 lbs. The lightweight synthetic stock made the T1x feel less than a Tikka to me. I love Tikka centerfire rifles but was underwhelmed by the T1x. The 457 Varmint looks and feels like a high quality rifle.
