JAW2688 3 years ago #2. I think the pickaxe miners in 2-2 have a very low chance of dropping chunks of sharpstone/hardstone, improved by wearing the large sword of searching and PBWT. Crystal Lizards are finite, unfarmable in that way. I believe 2-3 to start in a world, then one more spawn for each time you kill a boss and then that's it.
