Tx22 vs p322.
The P322 is similar to a .22 training pistol in the sense that it looks and feels like a defensive style pistol. But unlike rimfire trainers such as the Glock 44 or the FN 502 Tactical, the P322 is not a 22 version of an existing model. The dimensions are similar to the P320 Compact, but the shape is different, and it’s a little slimmer.
If you do a quick search of the p322 on reddit or YouTube you will quickly see that gun has nothing but problems. I personally just researched the p322 vs the tx22 line up, and I didn't want to risk my luck with the p322 altho that's the one I initially wanted. I ended up buying the TX22 Compact, which was cheaper and probably more reliable.Aug 24, 2022 · Sig has a 4" barrel/TX22 has a 4.1" barrel. The Sig P322 weighs 17.1oz's unloaded/TX22 is 17.3oz's unloaded. One noticeable difference is the grip ergo's, both have excellent feel, but the TX22 is a bit wider and has a more pronounced hump - kinda like a CZ or HK..The Sig P322 is just a tad wider and longer than the 365...but barely. The P322 does not feel cheap like the TX22. The P322 has nicer factory sights. The base model TX22 is not optics ready. You have to get the TX22 competition model or compact model if you want to put a dot on it. The P322 is optics ready. The P322 is hammer fired while the TX22 is striker fired.

So I am in a compliant state (non threaded barrel and 10rd cap). Really want the P322, but Sig is not making it for restricted states and no immediate plan to. If I have a local shop pin the barrel and block the mag, I will have no valid warranty from Sig on the P322. If I go the TX22 route (non-competition version) it will not be optic ready.
