Don't disregard 5* runes if you are trying to get the team started. My first tricaru team had 7 5* determination runes on it overall. Especially slot 1/3/5 can be grinded into a useable rune, but I also had a few 2/4/6. give the tricaru some Determination runes. If you use Kunite, just give him enough determination runes and when your tricaru works give him fight runes so you do much more damage. If you use Kunite, give him enough speed so he attacks first and doesn't mess up your tricaru system. Not much difference, but determination is a pain int he butt to get. tricaru with all determination would be +48% def for each tricaru, but if you have all guard, its +45% def for each. 8% per set x 9 sets is 72%, not 45%. You by no means need to go full determination sets, but adding even 1-3 can notably lower the overall rune quality requirement.

Runes are still really shitty. Tricaru under 170 spd, barely at 30% accuracy for 2, 15% for one. Verd still only hitting around 2.8k per hit. When it does fail the reason is more about missing def break and not enough damage, like most of the problems in a failing regular tricaru Verde team, rather than the 1* being the issue.

Tricaru is an important monster, but wasting your crystals on a rune that will probably not roll how you want it to is not a solid strategy. Just farm DB12 for now and get a ton of Guard runes. Farming for one determination set per Tricaru is also a solid strategy.For now, Tricaru is not worth it. I am at my 21st day now and I made an GB and DB Abyss hard team with 98% on a 1:30-2:30 runs. I must say for new players, it is better than doing 1:20 runs on DB10 and getting 60% rare runes. This also means that you should not multiply your set bonuses in the formulas, u have to calculate them separately. Tricaru is still used in necro b10 and punishers b10 so it isn’t a total loss to build tricaru. It’s just that after reloaded there is no point in min-maxing tricaru (ie. skill ups, runes).
